The Carbonate-Hosted Tullacondra Cu-Ag Deposit, Mallow, Ireland

نویسندگان

چکیده

The Tullacondra Cu-Ag deposit is located on the southern margin of Lower Carboniferous Irish Midlands orefield and contains historical reserves approximately 4.2 Mt at 0.7% Cu 27.5 ppm Ag. hosted within hanging wall a feeder fault, EW-trending Fault, where sulfides sulfosalts containing elevated Cu, Ag, As, Sb deposited, whereas Zn Pb are nearly absent. deposition in took place along bedding bedding-parallel dissolution seams, suggesting an epigenetic mineralization that formed: (a) Transition Series-hosted mineralized zone associated with Sb; (b) Limestone Shale-hosted zone, Cu-dominated depleted other metals, (c) near-vertical fractures related to Fault. Some similarities shared Irish-type Zn-Pb deposits, such as structural stratigraphic controls, feeder-fault proximal zones (such Lisheen Silvermines). Whether was part system or not, our geometry evaluation, whole-rock geochemistry, paragenetic sequence, texture relationships indicate involved reaction metal-bearing fluids carbonate rocks.

A colorimetric probe for the detection of Ni2+ in water based on Ag-Cu alloy nanoparticles hosted in electrospun nanofibres

A Ni2+ based colorimetric probe based on glutathione-stabilized silver/copper nanoparticles (GSH-Ag-Cu alloy NPs) in an electrospun polymer matrix is reported. Glutathione-Ag-Cu alloy NPs were characterized by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The freshly synthesized GSH-Ag-Cu alloy NPs in a polymer matrix w...

Kushk zinc- lead deposit is located about 167 km east of the city of Yazd, Iran. The geographical location of the mine is 31°, 40' N and 55", 40' E. Different rock types including volcanics and subvolcanics (rhyolites, rhyodacites, dacites, and rhyolitic tuffs) and sedimentary rocks (shale, limestones and dolomites) crop out in the area. Mineralization of the deposit occurs in black shale o...

Mineralogy and Geochemistry Studies of the Sorkheh Sediment-hosted Stratiform Copper (SSC) Deposit, NW Iran

The Sorkheh deposit in northwestern Iran exhibits several readily visible general characteristics of sediment-hosted stratiform copper (SSC) mineralization. It consists of fine-grained disseminated base-metal sulfides within gray sandstones (gray beds, the basal whitish Miocene sandstone and shallow-water) that overlie a thick sequence of red beds (Miocene Upper Red Formation). The host gray be...
